What Stockmate Does

Stockmate helps businesses find other businesses that may want to buy their products. It searches public business listings (Google Places), identifies potential B2B buyers using AI classification, and surfaces publicly available business contact information.

What Stockmate Does NOT Do

• • Stockmate does not send emails on your behalf
• • Stockmate does not verify that a contact wants to receive marketing
• • Stockmate does not guarantee that contacts are decision-makers
• • Stockmate does not provide legal advice about cold outreach

Your Responsibilities

You are responsible for complying with all applicable laws when contacting businesses. This includes but is not limited to:

• Australia (Spam Act 2003) — B2B commercial messages must identify the sender, include accurate contact information, and honour unsubscribe requests within 5 business days. Consent may be inferred from an existing business relationship or public listing of the contact.
• GDPR (EU/EEA) — Processing personal data (including business email addresses that identify individuals) requires a lawful basis. Legitimate interest may apply to B2B outreach, but you must conduct a legitimate interest assessment and provide an opt-out.
• CAN-SPAM (US) — Commercial email must include a visible unsubscribe mechanism, accurate header information, and a physical postal address. B2B email is not exempt.
• CASL (Canada) — Requires express or implied consent for commercial electronic messages. Implied consent may exist if the recipient has published their address without a "no marketing" notice. Consent expires after 2 years.

Built-in Compliance Tools

• • Do Not Contact — any lead can be marked as "Do Not Contact" and will be excluded from future searches and exports.
• • Feedback Training — good/bad labels train Stocky, a per-account statistical model, using numeric lead signals; raw proprietary product text is excluded from model features.
• • Commercial Filter — results default to showing only commercial buyers (not individual consumers).
• • Data Minimisation — Stockmate only surfaces business contact information from public sources.

API Terms Compliance

Stockmate uses Google Places API and Hunter.io under their respective terms of service. Google Places data is used for business search and display only — not for creating competing databases. Hunter.io data is used for email discovery within their fair use policy.

Data Retention

Lead search results are stored for your reference. You can delete individual searches from the Lead History page. Lead feedback and notes are retained to improve future search quality. Contact us at admin@stockmate.net to request full data deletion.
